You may be asked the reason for the appointment by the Receptionist, this is to help us to prioritise the urgency of the appointment and has been requested by our clinicians. Please click below for clarification.

Book or cancel an appointment online (prior registration for this service required)

We operate a system of pre-bookable and bookable appointments within 24 hours.  If you require an on the day appointment please ring after 16:00 the day before you require an appointment, or early in the morning. We now have more appointments which are bookable up to 4 weeks in advance for those patients who require to have a follow up appointment in the future or wish to see a particular GP and the problem is not urgent.

Urgent appointment requests on the day may be dealt with by the duty doctor either on the telephone or as a face to face consultation. Please give as much information as you can to the receptionist to ensure you are dealt with effectively.

Extended Hours

We are offering late appointments for GPs between 18.30 and 19.20 every Tuesday, ask for details at reception.

Most appointments are bookable in advance. Minor illness clinics run on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings and Monday afternoons and are only bookable on the day from 16:00 the day before the appointment or on the day, as these are designed for minor illnesses.

When booking your appointment it would be helpful if you could advise the receptionist staff what the appointment is for, this enables them to book your appointment with the appropriate member of our Nursing Team and the length of time required.  This not only helps our Nursing Team but also ensures that the correct amount of time is allocated and you see the appropriate nurse for your treatment.  Knowing what the patient is coming in for helps the nursing staff prepare beforehand and ensures the appointments are kept to time and that the clinics run smoothly.

Your co-operation is appreciated.  Thank you.

Telephone Advice

We are all happy to speak with you on the phone if an appointment is not necessary. Please ask the receptionist for a telephone consultation with the GP of your choice and she will try to arrange a suitable time for you to speak to the GP on the telephone.  If your call is of an urgent nature you will be called by the duty doctor on the day.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
