Welcome! We are a well established Training Practice of some 14 years standing.
We are located in a small market town on the southern border of Exmoor in North Devon. We are also close to North Devon's beautiful beaches which are particularly famous for surfing!
As for the work, well, we are a smallish, purpose built practice with a list of about 5500 patients. We have 2 trainers but the whole team is actively involved in GPR training. We have 3 full time equivalent partners (including 1 job-sharing partnership) and 2 clinical assistants. We have a rapidly expanding array of nurses from Nurse Practitioners to Health Care Assistants whom we see as becoming increasingly important in patient care. We also see good practice management as crucial to providing the support and structure for good quality PHC.
We are a PMS practice and identified Sexual Health, Diabetes, Drug Abuse and Elderly Care as our priority areas for this pilot. We are also very committed to high quality rational prescribing.
We are well supported by a local co-operative for OOH work.
The local VTS-Half Day Release Course is based in Barnstaple, 9 miles away.
